@Johnnybomb1 Metal Gear Solid was original enough in its own right, it's not a rehash. Kojima borrowed a lot of obvious elements from it, but he'd use all of those elements found in MG2 in later Solid games as well. He probably used the most in MGS because he figured 'Fuck it! No one's played it/No one plays it anymore' and because the power of the Playstation allowed him to fully realise his ideas.
The music is different because it's a different game, cinematically MG2's themes wouldn't fit.

@MrCadefulp Because the gameplay of metal gear solid was already a rehash of metal gear 2 solid snake. They had to change something.

@ReloadPsi No, you remember Naked Snake (MGS3) eating something like a Calorie Mate and saying "Tasty" or "I want some more!" ?

Two days ago a friend of mine who had played VR Missions watched me play through Metal Gear 2. He was quite surprised hearing the original versions of these tunes.

I liked this when I first heard it in Metal Gear 2.

@abola2121 God damnit. Now i'm wondering why they didn't use the MG2 music in the normal MGS.
