Maiden Heaven is a tribute album to the heavy metal band Iron Maiden that was released on 16 July 2008[1], as a free gift with Kerrang! Issue 1219. It is described as 'our tribute to Iron Maiden, which features exclusive covers by Metallica, Avenged Sevenfold, Coheed & Cambria, Trivium, Machine Head and Dream Theater' [2] on the Kerrang! website.

Why did they cover a song that Dez has absolutely NO range for? Why not "Be quick or be dead", or something that speaks more to DD?

I like Maiden and Devildriver. Musically, it's pretty much the same as Maiden nothing new and interesting going on and goddamn does he ever scrap it with the vocals. Some songs are just better sung clean. They should of put more devildriver in it, and less Maiden imo.

You should check it out Ryan Adam's version of Wasted Years then, it is sung with a soft voice, and has it's own take and style while still honoring the original. It's what a cover should be as it is so unique, and is far, far better than this cover version.

The chorus is done pretty poorly. Otherwise, I actually like this cover, and I hate devildriver.

In my opinion, this song should be sung by the band Fightstar and Madina Lake.

Wasted years should be sung with one voice "soft" and not with this voice of "monster," ruined the best song of Iron Maiden, who did not like my opinion FUCK!
