Records of Landowners in Ireland coming from Scotland and England. Flight of the Earls. Original Irish owners of land; Pynnars survey; Land Grants; settler families. The 17th century fall of Irish chiefs and clans, and the schemes for the plantation in Ulster.
My Irish ancestors where kicked out of Ireland by The Brits. So the Four Brothers moved to America. They were the Bryson clan, and in North Carolina there is a town called Bryson City. And it turns out they named it after my ancestors.

@MsOneiroi77 well done - someone with brains and not selective history. Btw I'm Scots, Irish, English - as soon as ppl see 'English' the wankers line up and start up.

the Irish were at the same thing 1000 years before with the formation of Dal Riada and displaced the native Pictish peoples from their lands.

@zax2222 irish gaels sent a tribe called the scots to scotland. these are the highlanders, gaelic speaking scots

Did Ireland make Scotland or did Scotland make Ireland?.
zax2222 1 year ago
Yes. Thats why the gaelic spoken in Scotland is now of the Godelic strain rather than the Brythonic strain (similar to Welsh, Cornish, Devonian) that was there before.

Hold on though didnt the Irish Gaels move from one area to another dispelling the Brythonic culture of the Picts in Scotland 1000 years before the Plantation?

One of the most important events in the irish history timeline is presented in this four-volume set.
This is THE go-to set for the Conquest of Ireland. Place name changes, family movement, land grants for settlers, etc.
It's worth every penny!
