isharp69, the "remove before flight" flags on pins safeing the LAU-7 rails (holding the sidewinders), are removed by the ordnance Marines in the 'arm/de-arm" area located just prior to the hold short area. That's why the aircraft taxi out of the line with the flags still attached. But as a "veteran of US Naval Aviation" you knew that already didn't you. Must have been a patrol bubba.
Clearly there is a "Remove before flight" flag on port armament.. You can see it as the aircraft taxis. This armament will never fire. Remnants of the 'flag' will appear as a red residue on the port side of the aircraft after flight. As a veteran of US Naval Aviation I can say I have seen it all. This video does not represent the best of the best, rather the dumb and dumber of what we can offer to flight safety. Give me a break!!
