The Catholic Church and the Life Issues

Bishop Joseph Martino of Scranton released this video condemning so-called Catholic groups. These groups claim that support of pro-abortion politicians is permissible under authentic Church teaching under the current situations. The document of the U.S. Catholic bishops, "Faithful Citizenship," has been distorted and warped by these groups. They claims that Catholics can be justified in choosing a pro-abortion candidate in an election, despite that fact that there is a viable pro-life opponent.

I was in the last graduating class of a catholic high school Martino closed along with others. I don't think Martino handled the situation well. For a while I saw him as a 'bad guy.' But let me tell you something, the stand Martino has taken against abortion is most honorable. The abortion issue is far more important than my high school. I'm not Catholic but I consider Martino my Bishop because he is a leader who is speaking against an evil practice even though it is unpopular for him to do so.

And why should any catholic believe what bishops says about morality? The bishops have no moral credibility after how they handled the priest abuse scandal. They are liars, hypocrites and they tried to intimate victims to save the church money. They are the lowest of the low.
