Is it okay if i jump my 3 mo. old border collie up to her hsoulders/ and about 2' above her paws? She Does it when i try to train my pitt and chihuahua!

@TrooperStone No, it's not okay to jump your dog any higher than maybe 2-3'' off the ground until their growth plates are fully closed. You cannot tell if your dog's growth plates are closed without a visit to your vet and an x-ray. If you do jump your dog too early you can end up with it having a numerous amount of health problems in its future. If you'll notice in all of my videos of Blitz up until he was 10 months old (his growth plates were closed) that I don't jump him any higher

@BcBeagleAgility15 Okay thank you so so much! It will make her hips Displace right?
TrooperStone 1 year ago
@TrooperStone Sort of, and it most definitely can cause Hip Dysplasia but It's kind of hard to explain. It causes the growth plates which are rubbery before they're closed to slam together and fuse or whatever before it's time which causes pain and joint damage. No problem, just be careful with your girl and keep it extremely simple, she's still a baby and I'm sure she's extremely special to you :)

@TrooperStone than 2-3 inches off the ground EVER. So please if you are jumping your 3 month old that high (even if unintentionally) find a way to restrain her when you are training your other dogs. She may really want to play but it is NOT safe for her at all. Please please stop before you hurt her. I have seen too many good puppies get hurt when their people do that.
