I love how Tom says "Everyone criticises pop music as being... band's going to have a shelf life of 2 years and I think it's about time a band changes that", which just shows how dedicated McFly is to pop music. He said "I'd like that band to be us", which shows that he loves pop music so much that it doesn't matter if they're not the ones to revolutionize the pop band industry, he just wants the best for pop music, but at the same time wants to do something for pop music. Unselfish and genuine.
