Sinopsis: Samantha, de diecisiete años, vive en un pueblo con su tío Emmett, veterano de Vietnam, convertido en un hombre huraño e insociable desde que volvió de la guerra. Sam no conoció a su padre, muerto en el frente antes de que ella naciera, y su madre, que ha vuelto a casarse, se ha marchado a otra ciudad. Sam se hace muchas preguntas acerca de lo acontecido en Vietnam y de la vida de su padre. Su tío Emmet es quien mejor puede ayudarla, pero antes tendrá que sacarlo de la concha en la que se metió. Es como si quisiera olvidarlo todo, pero el resentimiento que guarda lo mata por dentro. Tío y sobrina irán construyendo una estrecha relación, a medida que vayan encajando las piezas que un día Vietnam descolocó. Año 1989.

Una de mis peliculas favoritas aproprio de la guerra en Viet Nam .. profundo, fuerte, sin compromiso ni tampoco con el objectivo de ganar milliones de $.

Everyone with the least bit of interest in the Vietnam War should see this. Without making millions of $ in mind, it stays with the plot and is profound, and has a strong message from beginning to end.

these films captivate the consciousness and the human mind but also shows the culture of waste used where many still do not understand the blood that was spilled impose wanting a free nation from its materialistic idelologies on behalf of their freedom and slavery of the peoples of third World leaving embassadors as the oligarchies who govern under its guidelines

I attended the DC premier with Bruce Willis and Demi Moore and few other celebs. I think its very underrated, but disturbing in some ways.
