I receive a christmas gift from Karen and Warrick Hopkins, Jocelyn Hopkins Parents. Jocelyn Hopkins is my friend and she's got a Youtube account called jocelynhopkins when you type jocelynhopkins you will find her videos. This 4 inch bell got a electric magnet in it, the electric magnet lasts longer than motors, The motors burns out and there are parts like gears connected to a motor to help a bell ring that can get jammed or stuck and break the motor because the motor cannot move and the electricty is still going in the motor and the brushes inside of the motor breaks. I bet my Edwards bell will last longer than my wheelock bells, I might even be able to ring my Edwards bell for longer time than my wheelock DC motor bells. The bell runs on 120 Volt AC, 0.062 Amps and 60 Hertz means I don't need a transformer or an adapter for my bell, the bell can run directly from the electrical outlet (plug-in) from the house. A first the extension cord did not fit so I needed a longer screw for the plugin part on the back of my bell and I needed to screw the plugin vertically instead of horizontally for more space for the extension cord, the longer screw brings the plug-in out further to help the extension cord to fit further into the 2 gold mental prongs, originality the plug-in on back of the bell is screw horizontally for the back wall mount plate to fit into the plugin the 2 flat head screw on the plate is for screwing extra long wires in place and that extra long wires goes through the middle hole on the plate and into the wall to be hook up to other bells and the bell closest to the control room (timer bell program) the place to ring the bells on time for classes change or for a fire drill gets hooked into the timer control room. I don't need the metal back plate but when I do need the metal back plate, I needed to put the plug-in on the back of the bell in it's original position horizontally and with the original smaller shorter screw for the metal back peice to fit on the back of the bell where the plug-in fits into the metal back peice. The metal back peice canot fit on the back of the bell with the longer screw and the plug-in turned verticality. when the plug-in is turn verticality the 2 gold metal prongs is facing horizontally but when the plug-in is turned horizontally the 2 gold mental prongs is facing verticality. without doing all that adjustment I could get a smaller single male to female extension cord and plug in into the plug-in of the back of the bell without fooling around with the screw and plug-in and left it in the orginal position with the orginal screw and plug in the male to female extension cord. the female part of the extension gets plug into the plug-in part on the back of the bell and the male part of the extension cord gets plug into the electrical outlet. the model is 340-4N5. It says Do Not Remove The Gong of the bell but I did removed the gong as well as the metal striker or hammer and the spring. The hammer and spring falls out when I removed the gong but I put the spring back in the hole first, the shorter end of the spring goes in the hole first then the shorter end of the hammer goes in afterwards and I screw on the gong, the label plate goes onto the gong and the bolt goes in the screw and the screw screws on the labet plate and gong onto the holder of the bell and the bell ring just as loud as if I never unscrew the gong in the first place.The pictures are at the end of this video where I put the parts of my bell together before making the video, I also used my white school bell programer to ring my bell. My white school bell programer (Digital Timer) is like the control room in the school but it's way smaller and plugs into an electrical outlet.
