I think its daft to take all the negativity surrounding black women to heart-especially as its nothing new. And Black women still get married,still lead lives. Just take no notice of these men who say these things. Because most of the time these other 'races'/black men who DO make these comments are only exposing their internalized racism or racist views. Don't mind them. Life is too brief .

I find aesthetic-centricism of this quite disturbing. While I understand physical appeal matters, it's limited. Certainly, it can capture someone's attention, but it can't hold it and it certainly won't make someone truly love YOU. IF that were the case, the divorce rate in the US would be far lower. Transforming one's self for the sake of stereotypical appeal is silly. Not all men like the same things. Compatibility and personality are key.

Really like this video. It's pragmatic and solution oriented. People focus too much on group dynamics versus indiv choices, which vary from person to person. IMHO I think some ppl get to caught up in wallowing in pity that they won't actually do what needs to be done to...well..win!

Wow that was great! Really sensible but not hurtful. Be what men want (to a degree of course, don't go sleeping with them immediately or something) and then you will get someone. Take a look at yourself and improve.

Its not the same thing being a man. Women are objectified in the media to a greater extent then men are. The beauty standard is used against all women, so its not surprising that most women will have body image issues-especially BW. So even though that Spanish W was a bigot, the beauty standard is a lot harsher on BW then BM so that's why you don't care as much.

The moral of the message is make the most of what you've got and learn to accept yourself.
