Canadair CL215T sudden stops into the water by using its reversals. Looks so unreal that made me tink in a fail for a while.

Yep, listen to the engines at the end. They put the props into beta, or reverse. It's pretty common on turbine powered aircraft, and very effective.

the plane has a reverse thrust feature like some jet planes do...you could say almost air brakes

Just Gotta love Canadian built Aircraft, Can Land 'em pretty much anywhere and haul pretty much anything.
