@Neoskel Yeah it might have to do with Japanese phonetics since consonants in Japanese are always followed by a vowel (I think N is the only exception). For example, Cloud from FF7 is usually pronounced something like Kuraudo.
But personally I always figured it was because it was just a slang abbreviation for Cup Of Noodles.
Why does everyone feel the need to add -O- to it? It's just Cup Noodle like it says on the packaging. If you listen, the narration isn't adding an -O- either it's just lingering on the end of the word cup.

I think it's because he's japanese, they pronounce english words phoenetically so they are easier to understand.
