This is why we train and train hard, mistakes are allowed here cause on the foreground it could get someone killed.

Whats really funny, Paid or Volunteer, we all get the same training and both have equal danger and use the same tools and equipment, everyone who signs up for the FD makes mistakes. Thats why we train. We learn from mistakes during training so we don't foul up when lives depend on us. But that ladder needed a heeler and he needed to wrap his arm around a bit more.

One thing I noticed on youtube is other firefighters talking bad about another firefighters when they make mistakes, no department is perfect. So why do this? We are all firefighters, we are all equals and therefore we should support each other. In the end nobody cares about which department has the biggest gonads when duty calls.

A TRUE fireman bailout failure is one who DOESN'T make it out.

In a REAL bailout situation,you fall back on your training and do all you can to GET OUT.

You may not get a "10" and "stick the landing",but your alive to tell about it.
