Mark takes you inside his home studio to give you a private look at how a Marillion album is made - at least from his perspective - and also gives a teaser of 3 new sound clips from the upcoming double album 'Happiness is the Road'. Coming to you from rural Oxfordshire with Mark Kelly.

  • I just heard the clips and there's that tingling I get when I hear your music. Very nice and I love the new familiar sounds especially older than me and the marzipan thing sounds sexy and confident.... I'm going back into the background. Looking forward to hearing more.

  • Very interesting, thanks Mark!

I've pre-paid for the new CD because you guys never fail to impress. Sounds like it's gonna be an awesome CD. No one comes close to Marillion with regards to emotion and feel. Your music transforms me into another state of consciousness! Who needs drugs when you have Marillion!?

  • dgcmusi, the New York City 1985 show, was that the Ritz in NYC? I remember seeing them in either 1984 or 1985, I can't remember. There were only about 20 people there!!

  • HEllo MArk,

It was great to see you here in Holland after so many years. Its great to see how you interact with the fans. I had an amazing time, hope to have the chance to check you back in Holland for the Fans meeting 2009. Good luck with everything. Marcia

  • Hello Mark

I have been following your band for years.

I saw your band in New York City in 1985 and have been impressed with your playing. Your very thought out lines. I put Easter on the tube and tried to make a sound that sounded like you. Hope you can check it out. Dave.

  • Hey Mark I'm trying to play Marillion songs but it's hard ! You play like Gods, I have to work a lot !

I wait for the next album with impatience.

  • I dare to say that Marbkles not only was their best album ever, but one of the greatest albums ever in the history of music! Pure masterpiece!!! This is a double album too, so...let's hope! :-)))

  • Planet Marzipan sounds great:)

  • The music sounds wonderful. I don't think there has ever been a chance of us (the fans) being disappointed.

I always imagined that when recording all of the band stays together all the time playing, experimenting (probably even drinking :-). Of course that would be impractical - I suppose everybody has got a family and so on.

I am curious - are you guys still close friends ? Do you hang together ? Or party ? Do you sometimes jam just for pleasure ?

  • Sounding interesting, especially the second clip. Ignore the people who won't be 'patient'! :D
