English Language Literacy

The ongoing civil unrest in Northern Uganda has disrupted lives for over 20 years, and has created a large population that is completely uneducated. Project Have Hope's adult literacy program answers the need, teaching English language and literacy, side by side. 32 women who had never before entered a classroom, enrolled in our first class, taught by Aketch Rebecca. The women in this video are enjoying learning to read some basic English words. PHH plans to expand this program as funding becomes available.
