For those who may wonder what this is though: it's a short Iranian techno / rap music video clip played in the background on the computer via the Internet, in my living room, shot from behind the open kitchen counter ...

The clip's name is "I Confess!" or من اعتراف می کنم in Persian (Farsi) and it's about how some people arrested in the post election demonstrations on the streets of Tehran, Iran, or some government officials related to those demonstrations in spring and summer 2009, were prosecuted later and had to appear in court, forced to confess, mostly via physical and / or mental torture in prison ...

The phrase or verse "I confess" is repeated throughout the work non-stop.

Those familiar with what is going on in Iran right now, require no more explanation than this of course.

The lyrics: (Very good rhyming in origianl Persian format but sorry it's lost in my poor translation)

Persian:
من اعتراف می کنم به صاف بودن زمین .... به روز بودن شب و یسار بودن یمین... من اعتراف می کنم نه بطری و نه کابل بود .... نه سقف بود و پنکه و نه پیچش طناب بود ... من اعتراف میکنم که قرص ها توهم است و فرد خائنی چو من نه لایق ترحم است.... من اعتراف میکنم فقط بزن!... چه کار کرده مادرم. چه کار کرده پیرزن .... من اعتراف میکنم فقط نگو به دخترم... در این یکی دو ماه چه آمده است بر سرم!

English:

* Soda or similar bottles and thick, firm electrical cables are torture devices used customarily in Iranian prisons since old times. The former is usually stuck and pushed into the victim's butthole while the latter is normally used as whip to lash the prisoner, especially on the bottom of his or her foot. Ceiling, fan and rope in here refer to other devices and methods of torture in use in Iranian jails, especially used against political prisoners. I do not know what is exactly meant by "pills" in the lyrics but my best guess is it is related to forced confessions via drugs that were reportedly used by the torturers.
