@ccffpa I agree with you, my friend. My great hope is that our small effort here might possibly prompt someone to spend the $300 million that the full story deserves, and make a LOTR-sized epic. I'd pay to see that. God bless - Jim

well...interesting idea , surprising idea coming from USA where this war is completely unknown... but very amateur ... a film by children ... bad costumes ... very bad uniforms ... nice but not very serious and the vendean uprising was something very serious and dramatic ...

Beautiful film about an episode not much remembered. May be because is against the leftist vision of History that people was opressed by the King. Obviously in this case the people supported the Monarchy

@neutrino85fr quand je parlais d'amateurisme pour la cinéscénie , je parlais des figurants qui , à moins que les choses n'aient changé, sont toujours des bénévoles ...

amateurisme aussi dans les costumes, matériels et équipements qui donne au tout, un coté évacation historique mais en aucun cas reconstitution historique , ça n'enlève rien à la beauté et à la grandeur du spectacle !

@ccffpa La cinéscénie n'est en rien amateur, elle est au contraire source de brevets. Le PDF a même reçu le prix du meilleur "Parc à thème classique" (Thea Classic Award), remis par l'Association des parcs à thème (Themed Entertainment Association - Thea), lors du rendez-vous annuel des parcs de loisirs à Orlando en Floride.

@Bradlock85 O_o Déjà c'est pas un film vendéen (ou alors le Connecticut viens d'être annexé) . Dans quel coin t'habites et de quel coin "évolué" viens tu pour traiter les gens de "retardés "?

Dans contre, le côté très (trop) religieux me dérange, l'histoire oui, l'endoctrinement non.

@Bradlock85 Tu habites peut-être la Vendée aujourd'hui, mais tu n'es pas forcément un descendant de ceux qui se sont battus contre les excès de la Révolution en 1793. Dans ce cas, je comprends que ça ne te touche pas. Tu pourrais en revanche saluer la mémoire de tous ces morts.

D'ailleurs, je vois vraiment pas ce que tu entends par "mentalités très en retard"...

Mon Dieu c'est d'un kitsch! Heureusement pour tous que ce film ne sortira qu'en vendée! Ils y ont mis les moyens mais ça sent la propagande catholique à plein nez. Je suis moi-même vendéen, et il faut avouer que les mentalités de ce département sont quand même très en retard sur leur temps par rapport à la moyenne...
