Some experimenting with a CNC router to create a block which can be used for letterpress or relief art printing on an iron handpress. This block is a 30cm x 50 cm panel of massive beech glued together from several smaller blocks. Cutting depth is 5 mm with a 60 degree V-bit.

  • Supposed to be mirrored? I did the same mistaketake when I made a laseringraved image for printing:)

  • install a vacume hose. get that chaff outa their. se whats happening. also your cutting your chaff twice.

  • It actually can't be used in in letterpress printing because the text would be inverted. :)

  • What did you use to create the text and convert it to g-code?

  • Great technique. Can't wait to see an "unreadable" version for print on one of your letterpresses or maybe at MIAT Ghent?
