Cintiq 21UX in RIVOPS console

Cintiq 21UX is part of the RIVOPS (Remote Intuitive Visual Operations) solution from EATOPS. RIVOPS is a graphical user interface for Oil & Gas integrated operations. Based on a successful spacecraft monitoring technique, RIVOPS translates large amounts of data into understandable images and allows to control offshore oil and gas platforms from remote.
The RIVOPS layer is sitting on the top of the distributed control system of an offshore control centre. Once plugged into the operators' console, this technology acts as an enhanced display system for alarm handling. This methodology displays the full picture of the installation combining the engineering 3D models with the real-time telemetry. This solution makes sure the control room operator understands the installation with a reduced offshore training.

The console is designed for two operators. The Cintiq 21UX interactive pen display in the middle is used to display groups of alarms located on the offshore installation. Monitors are mounted on rails to enable different seat configurations. For instance a senior lead operator training a young operator.
