BEWARE! Vali nasr and his father seyyed hossein nasr are both pseudo-intellectuals sympathetic toward the islamic mafia occupying Iran. Both these men are con artists spreading propaganda for the "peaceful' religion of islam. I'm exposing them here and now.

This guy Vali Nasr's father a modernized mullah and he also is a defender of Islamic ideologies.
People like him try to portray that Islamic extremism is not a part of Islam and is against Islam while in reality is the most accurate type of Islam

I was born and raised in Iran and have been in different countries in the middle east. The only solution to all problems in the middle east is secularism (separation of religion from states)

Never listen to everything you hear. We must become our own scholars, for many will never go back and check authenticity of a professor of priest. We must never follow blindly. Nasr needs to remember that one day we all are going to face God so he should be careful of what he speaks of when he speaks of Shia Islam!!!

He speaks of Jamaat-e-Islaami in Pakistan but he has not breathed a world about Hizbul Mujahideen which is their terrorist RIGHT wing group they based in Kashmir to unleash violence against the People of Kashmir! Now, Pakistan wants to blame America for Taliban but the truth is they were only to happy to use those terrorists all over India not just Kashmir. Poor Indians! Imagine the reaction if Israel were Pakistan' s neighbour! They would be wiped off the world map! LOL!

The whole Nasr Family is owed a debt by both Sunni and Shi'i Muslims. Syed Hossein has produced countless scholars through his tuteledge, and Vali is a scholar in his own right.
Shirenar, Hafez was not only opposed by clerics, but Politicians alike. He was a bureaucrat under multiple kings and very little is known of his biography with any authenticity.
To claim definitively that he was a tragic Galilean figure is just patently false.

He is saying it has been hijacked by fundamentalism. Did you actually listen to what he said? He is saying open societies lead to moderate islamic societies like Turkey and nineteenth century Pakistan. He makes great points. I am half Iranian and do NOT believe in Islam. But no need to attack Vali Nasr for what you THINK he has said
