Chungju city officially has held martial arts festival which is quite unusual events in South Korea. It started the year of 1998, this festival is held annually in October. The theme is "Meeting of the five-thousand-year-old Soul" and the world martial arts. [1]
In 2007, foreign players from 20 nations join martial arts festival. Many sports was shown such as Sambo of Russia, Muay Thai of Thailand and Okichitaw of Canada.
