yes id have to agree the fi bike starts a lott faster than the carbed ninja 250 but my 97 vfr carbed starts allmost as fast as the r6 fi

@chucka59 Oh I see what you'r saying. I think oil moving is about the same either way. FI just get the engine running faster, and that may actually help get oil moving more quickly. I think with the crank speed (usually) carbed bikes don't necessarily get oil moving at all till the engine starts running. And I would bet it's the same for FI.

I was just saying that oil gets more worked in with longer cranks in the carbed bike.I was just listening to the high pitch whisle, you can tell how a engine is running with microphones. But I think thats just your exhaust sound, could be wrong :)

Sucks for you guys :( - the 250R in the UK is Fuel Injected - I remember starting it at -5c last year in the winter, the fuel injection revved it up to 6krpm briefly, then back down to 2krpm and eventually down to 1.5krpm :)

my carburetted truck has no trouble starting in the snow. It starts faster than the fuel injected 2003Toyota Corolla my sister owns.
