Hey guys, this is one of my songs that will be on my upcoming album Locket which is released late 2011 or early 2012. I have to re record most of the songs including this one since I was between the ages of 15 and 17 when I wrote and recorded them and now Im 18. I made all of my beats including this one and wrote all of my own lyrics. This song features my friend J.R. who raps in the beginning, Oscar rapping the chorus I wrote, and me in the verses. I hope you like it, and it isn't fully mixed down yet, I still have to re record it just wanted to put it up to show you guys what I can do. Thank you! Check out some of my other videos :)

Authors own the exclusive rights to their compositions. Legally a copyright means that a musician, author, or artist has a "limited duration monopoly" on anything he creates. The US Constitution grants the government power "to promote the progress of science and useful arts, by securing for limited times to authors and inventors the exclusive right to their respective writings and discoveries." (Article 1 Section 8, US Constitution). To legally enforce an author's claim to his copyright, his work must be registered with the copyright office. Registering a composition provides public notification of copyright, and you cannot use the composition publicly unless you pay royalties--which can be substantial. If you use a song under copyright without the owner's permission, you are subject to legal repercussions.
