Good morning; on our bathtub - which is but 4 years old and supposively with higher quality BR fixtures, our tub drain, which is simply a plunger type where you push down and lift up, began to carode quickly - sign of very poor material,. The caroded plunger simply 'screws' out and the shaft is I believe 1/2 inch. Home depot had 1/4 and 3/8 sizes. The other question would be how to remove such a base for this type of plunger as it appears to just lay in the drain but held in by what? Thanks,

can this take out the flange if the crosspieces are broken?

There are a few things you can do 1 you can cut it out with a sawal or you can use a smart rench after that you just have to be very creative sorry that is why I invented the Master Extractor
