SASA will create a Public Service Announcement using some of the celebrities, politicians, sports figures, etc. who have been in the news, reported to have had strokes. Awareness that younger strokes are not rare is key to getting medical care in the first few critical hours...stroke happens to young, healthy people.

  • Thank you so much for sharing your story.  My son suffered a stoke on Jan 22 of this yr at the age of 6 YES an extremely healthy 6 yr old little boy. I am proud to say he is completely recovered from the stroke but the dissection in the left vertebral Artery remains and still is a huge concern. He had all the symptoms of a stroke but the Dr.s NEVER thought thats what was wrong.   • Thank you for trying to make people more aware. My sister who is turning 40 had a stroke. She went to the ER twice and was finally diagnosed because my father insisted on an MRI. They were going to send her home. Medical care practitioners need to take it more seriously.
