Hole in One is a golf game that was released by Hal Laboratory in 1984 for the MSX platform.
The game is played from a birds-eye-view perspective. It doesn't offer many features but is very user friendly and easy to play.
It was the first of three golf games that Hal released for the MSX. Its successor was released in 1985 as Hole in One Professional which was basically the same game (with different courses) and (in a very smart move by Hal) an editor. 1985 also saw the release of an extension course.
In 1986 Hal released Hole in One Special for the MSX2.
Hole in One and its successor Hole in One Professional are according to many the best golf games released for the MSX platform.
Hal released many games for the MSX system in addition it golf games it also released Eggerland Mystery in 1985 and Rollerbal in 1984. Both games became very successful on other platforms.
