My Blood is Also Red (A Vegetarian Song)

Some people may not agree with this (I know many do not like their beliefs to be questioned), But it's something I believe in strongly.

A song I co-wrote. The idea was to try to depict the point of view of a cow, with no escape, and bound for slaughter.

The pictures might not exactly portray actual beef-cattle-life in the US. Most cows for food-consumption are raised on large overcrowded feed lots. But I thought the cute pastoral cows were more appealing to the eye.

I love this Because when i became a vegatarian Its because i was at a farm and there was a babby cow and it had the most beautifull eyes and then i came back to my uncles far a couple of moths ago and we had burgers and when i went out to see her she wasent there and you get the rest i just couldent get over that and i still have the picture from when i was 7 of me and her sitting there me playing with here ears and her beoutiful brown eyes i miss her so much she was beautiful so i really likeit

Eating animals is just like eating a human.

It's like you're taking a life away and just gobbling it up :'(

@torterrarulz We are not hippies! Thats a stereotype that really, really bothers me. I am 14 and went vegan because I wanted to, not because I was born into a "hippy family" (my whole family eats meat). You wouldn't eat your dog; but if you were born in a place where it was acceptable, you would. The point is, we all dream the same dream about living life. Let's all live it! None of them want to die. And when there are so many alternatives, it makes no sense to end someone's life.

Oh how I HATE the meat trade. I feel like I have to use my intelegence to get people to realise what they are doing is wrong.. but they're are just to fucking stupid. They are conditioned and sort of brain washed into a way of thinking that just laughs at the idea of animal rights. They pull out cards like "I'm entitled to my opinion" but they just shouldn't. ):

@TedManiax Yes, but the fruit doesn't feel anything as far as we know, unlike the tree, which gets stressed and feels, but as far as we know, it's different than our pain. In fact, fruit is meant to be eaten, as it carries a seed inside it that can grow into another tree.

@TedManiax Yes, but when you pick a fruit off the tree it does not die or bleed, it continues growing, and continues to produce fruit, it continues to live. I was in tears, it's a beautiful song in the terms that if people just took a few minutes and stopped being so small minded then they would see what these animals go through. Yes I am a vegetarian, but if people want to eat meat that's their choice like it's mine not to but people don't seem to even think about the quality of the animals life, if only people chose free range and made a stand it would be better than nothing! xxx
