A thrilling (er?) update on the contents of my fridge. The Thai fish sauce is past its sell-by date and something needs to be done.

  • What exactly is fish sauce? And why do you need to replace a product you apparently never use?

  • @DedSysOp It's concentrated anchovy essence. You only need a few drops of it to get a big result. I use it in fish dishes (which I don't make that often) to add an extra kick.

  • Concentrated anchovy essence sounds like you have bottled the souls of hundreds of little fish and keep it in your fridge... mayhaps I have listened too too many of your tales
