Christians shouldn't practice yoga it is something the hindus do so please stop commercializing yoga. The ying and yang has its base in yoga. Again christians shouldn't practice yoga aaah Idiots. seeing hindu gods after yoga sessions. What if I say I see jesus after all my yoga sessions.
If you do not have a proper teacher who can instruct you step by step all the postures, you will fuck your body beyond repair. Yoga comes with a warning its not something that you can master on your own. Besides Indians never wanted to share yoga with the masses this is a recent phenomenon. Hath yoga any one can practice, kundalini yoga damn you should really know what you are doing. Tantrik yog only the elite can practice this method, this messes up with your mind if you are not ready for this.
I have a lot of compassion for the fear that drives so many Christians. More and more Christians are realizing there are many paths to the Source; more an more are realizing there is much more in common with other religions and practices. (Of course, "Christianity" is a religion with about 40, 000 recognized denominations and sects.) One God, one Jesus, one Trinity...to 40K...what happened? One love.
@9577frasier Yoga is a more peaceful, low impact sport. For someone who has bad knees, low back pain, tight muscles, yoga can be monumental. Not everyone can run 3 miles a day and box so for those of us who need something else, yoga is very therapeutic and helpful. Besides meditation and breath control is a major stress reliever, concentration builder, and mind calmer. Most of what we call yoga in the west is yoga-inspired fitness so it doesn't matter if your christian. Power yoga for example.
These Christian are afraid, they are losing customers, in which they now realize jesus is a myth, and they are desperate to keep them. Pity christians
Sooo... you don't believe in hinduism, right? So the whole chakra thing is, by definition, not true in your worldview. There is no kundalini, and therefore, aligning one's spine has no effect.
So if there are no chakras, how can yoga be "demonic" or "dangerous" in any way?
i dont see the benefit anyway, when in doubt do without, if you wanna get in shape run 3 miles a day{if a beginner start off slow obviously} stop eating so late. i have been a boxing instructor for years, no reason to entertain the occult to get in shape, its not worth the risk
