great point troy... greed will rear it's ugly head in good times and in bad. so many "agents" out there are making poor decisions that should land them in jail or at the very least cause them to have their license revoked. shady business if you make it about the money... great business if you make about, as you said, "helping people"

Tell us how you really feel there Troy! JK I think it's great that you are advocating ethics and educating our buyers. It is our responsibility to help clients not make poor decisions. Good job on taking a stand and getting angry about those "scumbag agents". It's time that Realtors are known for their integrity.

@Grace88Anderson you have to have a need to sell. That's the most important thing. A seller with a need to sell is a bit more difficult to negotiate a short sale if they don't have a hardship. For example, if a homeowner has a job transfer more than 100 miles from their current place of business there is a need to sell but they may not have a hardship.

MAN!!! IM going through this RIGHT NOW!!........Found a rental on Craigs list...Being that my credit sucks...My "landlord" met and wrote a lease on a job invoice sheet!...I knew this was shady..But broke and desperate i took it..Well The home is in "shortsale"...and IM renting the place...BUT IM NO THE BUYER...But I call the Broker listing the place...and he says the sale is pending with the bank.???...SO.. im paying rent to the Homeowner thats NOT paying a Mortgage!? Scam or not?...
