The Soldiers Creed:
I am an American Soldier.
I am a Warrior and a member of a team. I serve the people of the United States and live the Army Values.

I will always place the mission first.
I will never accept defeat.
I will never quit.
I will never leave a fallen comrade.

I am disciplined, physically and mentally tough, trained and proficient in my warrior tasks and drills. I always maintain my arms, my equipment and myself.
I am an expert and I am a professional.
I stand ready to deploy, engage, and destroy the enemies of the United States of America in close combat.
I am a guardian of freedom and the American way of life.
I am an American Soldier.

The Three General Orders:
1st General Order
"I will guard everything within the limits of my post and quit my post only when properly relieved."

2nd General Order
"I will obey my special orders and perform all of my duties in a military manner."

3rd General Order
"I will report violations of my special orders, emergencies, and anything not covered in my instructions, to the commander of the relief."

  • Going to fort jackson in march, thanx for the video!

  • Awesome vid i ship out 20120417 91B hooah!!!!

  • Most of your advice could be for any boot camp.

    Good Job.

  • @MarcsLab i honestly forget. But i suppose it all depends on how fast you can get into MEPS and then swear in, and THEN you have to choose your ship out date and you are given different dates available and you just pick one. the whole process took me about a month, but i honestly forget.

  • @tjmr15 How long do I have to wait after I take the ASVAB to get going into Boot Camp ?

  • @MarcsLab no the Drill *Sergeants* are not in the bays while we clean, but they will sometimes randomly come in to see if we are actually cleaning. And if we are not then we get smoked. So i suggest to not be that person who is on their bunk sleep when a DS walks in.

  • @tjmr15 Are the drill instructors in the bay with you while you clean ?

  • @MarcsLab every sunday is a "non-training" sort of day when you have the opportunity to either go to church in the morning till about noon or stay in the bays and clean till noon. but after lunch chow we spend about 3 good hours cleaning up the company( picking up leaves /raking / cleaning class rooms/ ect.)then after that its usually classroom time until late in the afternoon. I'm still in basic but I'm on Christmas leave( exodus leave ) so im home for about 2 weeks until i go back and finish.
