I agree this scene doesn't fit well into the movie, but I really like the girl in this, has she been in anything else ?

@DeletedScenes22 Thats why they took it out. but the scene does provides more information. Mr pink said to Mr white "if they get you, they'll get me, and that cant happen!", after watching this scene I know they got Mr white.

I don't know what I think the casting knows, but were there originally going to be two females in the place of those eight people?

I love the 360 degree dolly shot.

I think this is a great scene on its own, but it wouldn't work with the rest of the movie. While you are correct in saying that it doesn't contradict the movies plot, it also doesn't add anything necessary and ends up being redundant because earlier on in the film, White recalled his experience on the job, that the undercover cop got involved in. Also Mr Pink made it clear, that Mr Orange could run a background check if he knew Mr Whites first name.

If you look at the woman in the background on the last shot of this scene, you can see her mouthing to her little kid "DON'T. LOOK. AT THE CAMERA." And he WAS looking at the camera the shot before last.

I FOUND THE ADDRESS FOR THIS LOCATION: 8200 San Fernando Rd. at the intersection of Sunland Blvd. in Sun Valley, CA. The burger shack is now a Mexican restaurant called "Robertiroz."
I like this scene, but I'm glad it was excised; Orange's story was overlong enough with the commode scene & the background taints White: the voice of compassion & reason becomes a violent cop-killer, ruining our sympathy for him. McCluskey would also ruin the established all-male dynamic, albeit unintentionally.

While Mr.Orange is watching the mugshots in the beginning, he wears the same shirt as Lance in Pulp Fiction

i bet that woman was pissed she got taken out of the movie xD
As much as I love this movie and Mr. Orange, this scene doesn't seem to really fit, though it is a good watch.

Interesting stuff, I think the main point is that Orange really couldn't properly feel what was gonna happen until it did- notice his uncaring attitude to White, but more key is his apparant lack of fear- which isn't true in the end, he'd have to be mad, he just hadn't really thought through how hard his job would be. You can see through his reactions in the film when White kills the cops only then did he really realise what he was involved in.
