It's not about America getting the oil, it's the oil companies that get the oil. Cheney and Bush snr's companies that get the contracts. America gets an excellent tactical position to support Israel and threaten the rest of the middle-east, north Africa and South West Asia.

America is not interested in democracy - if it was it wouldnt be allied with the Saudis. American foreign policy isn't about freedom it's about control.

Actually, we import less than 5 percent of our oil from Iraq. Also, if we're not spreading democracy why is it that Iraq is now a democracy and elects it's own officials, something that didn't really happen under Saddam. If this is the best you can come up with to bash on me it's a joke. How do I hold the world back? Because I don't go along blindly with a liberal agenda? Yes, George Bush has been a mediocre president. But the Iraq War was and is just, and no one can understand this.
