American and English terms differ for the same crochet stitches. The English treble as illustrated here is the same as the American double crochet.
A single crochet (sc) in American patterns would be called a double crochet (dc) in English patterns but the stitch is exactly the same.
I have indicated that this is a UK (English) treble.
