I removed my back seat and put in a false floor similar to the one Mighty Car Mods did in SE3 EP3 aka Part III of their Show Car Build.
I did do it cheaper, but it doesn't look nearly as good as theirs, nor is it nearly as awesome and cut super-specific with MDF with a frame like theirs.
Wal-Mart Black Rug- $17
Hardware Store Cheap Wood- $8
Time cutting wood, removing seat, cutting rug, tracing Hatch area... - 2 hours with no distractions, 4 hours for me as I did it when I could over a week.
Weight Saved- about 30 lbs.
I filmed this in a few takes and downloaded my first Video Editing Software to make it. It took a few hours to figure everything out and cut up all my video. It took 14:30 minutes to render it on my little netbook if you have one...
Please enjoy and disregard the fact that I repeat myself like a million times!
(Also, I did this almost a year ago (July 2010) which means I did it first Moog, Marty, et al... I will say a million times over though, your's is WAY better!)
As a MCM fan, all I can say is thanks for your time and hard work and please keep it up!
its not a "crapy" car. its awesome..

Very clean, ,,Stapple the carpet to the bottom side of the trunk board and a sub box would set it off
