Yes, it was in the movie. -_-

Rugrats-Nickelodeon

Just found the MAYBE lyrics, probably aren't. It's better than nothing.

Three small turns and silence!
It is that which affects to me
when I am liked, I dance
when one wants I appear...
Three small turns and silence!
I am not out of latex
when I am forgotten, the direction
of my desperate life
To make a wish or two
and then to close the eyes
(I am there)
for that and those
which do not have cold with the eyes
(which believe in me)
to make a wish for truth
and then to believe in the mystery
(all is there)
it is a style, it is easy
when one is Mélusine / Oh quickly catch you!

Before everyone wakes up
Catch me
But not the end of the wings
a fairy is fragile sometimes
Before midnight does not come
Catch me
Play with hands, play with Mr.
Emoi

Three small turns and silence
It is that which shocks me
When my sorrow is immense
I change gold into fake
Three small turns of master key passes
Me I have stocks of them...
If my bread breaks
That the large cricket crunches me

To make a wish or two
and then to close the eyes
(I am there)
for that and those
which do not have cold with the eyes
(which believe in me)
to make a wish for truth
and then to believe in the mystery
(all is there)
it is a style, it is easy
when one is Mélusine / Oh quickly catch you!

Chorus I

Lundi, Mardi, Mercredi, Jeudi, Vendredi, Samedi, Dimanche
(I couldn't resist -- SM)

Chorus I

Before everyone wakes up
Catch me
And to see my sparks
a fairy it is magic in oneself
Before midnight does not come
Catch me
Play with hands, play with Mr.
Emoi

  • What part of the movie is it in?

  • @pinkystargirl

It's when they arrive at the airport in Paris

  • The English translation you put doesn't make a lot of sense to me. Did you just slap it into a translator and call it good? I love this song, but I think I'll stick to the French lyrics. I didn't even know Mylène sang in Rugrats in Paris.I gotta find the soundtrack now. =P

  • @ScttN485

Actually I found it on a site dedicated to the Rugrats series, so it MIGHT be the real deal.

If you think this sounds weird look up "Ride on Shooting Star" by the Pillows, it's ridiculous XD

  • I loved listening to this because it was odd and unique. It was somewhat mystical.

  • They Don't Make Rugrats Episode Anymore (Unless You Count The Rugrats All Grown Up Show T_T) I Miss Rugrats!!!

  • So glad she did this song!

  • old rugrats was the best. after the first movie was made it sucked

  • I've been trying to find the correct lyrics to this song for a while now, kinda frustrating, but the song is beautiful and has captivated me since I was about 10 or so. <3 It was the most listened to song on that CD, ha ha.

  • This song goes great with Charles (Chuckie's Dad) and Kira (Chuckie's new mom).

    I love Kira!!!!!!!

  • ah oui!! on l'entend dans l'aéroport cette musique! (quand ils arrivent à Paris) XD

  • I have the rugrats soundtrack and would listen to this song ALL the time when I was little, I have no idea what it says but I still think it's beautiful :)

  • @drybonesandboo45: Same here! I would blare it continously...my family thought I was weird, but this song was what got me interested in French culture and the language itself. Better than the music we have today---even if it is French. I cried the first time I ever heard this song...it was and still is beautiful.

  • The lyrics: "Avant que tout s'éveille

    Attrapez-moi

Mais pas le bout des ailes

Une fée c'est fragile parfois" sound like a childish story about a fairy who's mischievious and malicious (which is the original idea itself but with hidden meaning), but this particular chorus alludes to spanking (i.e. sadomasochism). The song is childish enough on its own, but Mylene has constructed it in her own way to give it perverse undertones.

  • Okay people, here's the skinny on this song: The song was originally supposed to be sung by Madonna (not this song in particular, but a song in general) Madonna declined to sing it, so she got someone else to do it for her---Mylene Farmer.. and that was how they came to have this song on the soundtrack and the movie (the airport in Paris scene). The literal translation is "The Story of A Fairy Is..." the song comes off a innocent and childish, but it is actually filled with sexual practices.
