Your unit seems good as new without scratches. This is not a faulty capacitors due to old age but more of a factory defect I suppose. Try resoldering the capacitors and see if it could be fixed easily.

It's not glitching - it's "motorboating" which is simply an instability in an audio amp circuit.

The cause is leaking surface-mount capacitors - usually two specific ons on the SW1.

It's an easy fix if you're ok with small electronics: plenty of how-to info on the net.

Thing is, the capacitors really do leak - the electrolyte comes out and can damage the rest of the circuitry.

This noise is a sign that you should do some fixing ASAP.

The only "solution" I found to this problem was to plug the earphones in the jack and listen to the radio through them.

Hello, I have the same radio receiver, and the same problem...

One question, did you find any solution to this annoying problem or send it to be repaired?

And sorry if I'm asking too much, but in case you sent this to be repaired, how mich did it cost to you?
