  • All I will say is that I needed that and that that was fuckinn class!

  • I was fortunate enough to see the Long Ryders at the Earl on Saturday, the 10th. What an awesome show. I'll never forget how much fun my wife and I had, and I will always be grateful to finally have the opportunity to see my favorite band play in person.

Thank you Sid, Stephen, Tom and Greg.

  • LOVE this band, can do no wrong with me! x

  • reminds me of REM

  • Brilliant

  • what are the chorus chords?

  • Ain't THAT the truth, man ...hah.

  • one of the most underrated bands ever - Stephen McCarthy was a freak'n great singer

  • Loved these guys back in school. All the

"miller high life bands were good", del fuegos were one too.

  • This is excellent and brings back memories - thanks very much for posting it! x

  • temazo de BARRACA 86

  • This is a GREAT tune. Would have liked to see these guys do more...they were a good, obscure act along the lines of the Rainmakers and the Radiators.

  • Musik Laden or Rock Palast-the two major shows of pop/rock bands in Deutschland

  • GREAT video of a GREAT band!

If anyone is in or near Atlanta on January 9 and 10 2009, GO, damn you, and see these guys LIVE in the States for the first time in 21 years! At The Earl in Atlanta. Go now and get your tickets!

  • Goes to show that the West Germans had excellent taste in putting them on the tv show - what was the name? Love Sid's Micky Mouse ears ;)

  • really good song,up there with state of my union, what type of music is this classed as in the us?its fucking good!!!!

  • Had never heard of them before now, even though I am from the 80's generation. Unique sound and lyrics, but quite enjoyable.

  • I was so listening to them. Hanging out in LA and being a part of the best times in the music industry. These guys are great today and yesterday... timeless.

  • Whenever people talk about "80s music" they usually aren't talking about stuff like this ... that's both uplifting and depressing to me ... although I'm almost glad they stayed under the radar. I wasn't listening to Robert Palmer in '86 ... I was listening to The Long Ryders, among others.

  • my favourite

  • Looks like Stephen McCarthy and Tom Stevens attacked each other with the same pudding bowl and scissors. Nice do's, guys!

  • Still my favorite band of all time. Not for nothing, they are also gentlemen in the truest sense of the word and you'll not find an egocentric startripper amongst them. That they did not receive the acclaim many of us feel they deserve is really neither here nor there - fate does not always reward the deserving. I'm just grateful to have been able to enjoy their music and have it affect my life in such a positive way. Thank you Sid, Stephen, Greg and Tom!

  • FFS, They made Country music cool!

  • This band NEVER got the credit they deserve. STATE OF OUR UNION is a materpiece album.

  • Keep on rockin brothers. I'm writing from Spain. This song and this band are beatiful memories for me. When I was young, with a hungry heart (Oh Bruce... Magic is comin..)
