US Troops Give Hurt Locker Mixed Reviews

Despite its Oscars, the movie "The Hurt Locker" has gotten mixed reviews from U.S. military personnel doing the real bomb disposal job on which the film is based. But they appear to appreciate the publicity. (08 March 2010)

This is getting a bit silly with this "Is it real or not" If Katheryn Bigelow was doing a documentry then it would a DOCUMENTRY. It's a Hollywood movie so of course there will be some artistic licsense taken.

I'm sure if you asked Doctors about the popular tv show House, they would say something similar.

I really liked The Hurt Locker, because it's a first class, suspense as hell Hollywood action drama.

Of course, there are many points to be improved if it was supposed to be a documentary, but it is a MOVIE.

I mean, Scarface is full of shit in terms of the cocaine era miami, but it's a fricken movie, nobody complains about that it really went down completely different either.

Yep. Cause it had a REAL uplifting image about our military and how we are winning....oh wait.... a guy got shot by his damn squad-mate...well that's not very positive, and that doesn't boost morale....what about how he tried to save the guy with the bomb strapped to his chest...oh, wait that's not uplifting and doesn't boost morale....I don't see your point.
