Too many plants for a Malawi tank, but very nice set up none the less. About the pleco, he may not show it, but he's pretty stressed out. You can tell because plecos are usually active algea eaters and yours is barely moving. Regular plecos are not for cichlid tanks, from my own experience I found that thick lip plecos make better algea eaters. They are fast, they fight back and they do a better clean up on algea and believe it or not, waste. Maybe you should concider one or two for your tank.
