Mental Health Profession standpoint: Why pour acid on you, you would do what you did later - get plastic surgery. This story again is false, she's playing the sympathy card. This disorder is incredibly rare and people do not turn to self harm 'Her new book' See, Just another scam artist.

Any rational standpoint: It doesn't matter whether or not her BDD claim a scam card cop out or not, after her admitted truth it is clear she is indeed mentally ill whether or not she truly has BDD, she needs deep inpatient psycho-therapeutic help before she harms herself or even maybe somebody else. People who pull stunts like this are a danger to themselves and society itself.

And its none of our business what her mental diagnosis is anyhow, its between her and her psychiatrist/psychologist.

To be honest, I don't feel any anger towards this woman. Obviously she was mentally ill to do something like this to herself. She is forever going to have to live with what she's done to herself, and I just hope that she's getting the help she needs.
