with apologies to Frank, the Count and Q
Out in the Gulf of Mexico they drilled a plum
BP and friends came in to put oil in a drum
Still it's a real good bet, the worst is yet to come.
The worst is yet to come and babe, won't that be bad
We've killed the fish, the plants and now I'm getting mad
Wait til the cleanup never ends
Wait til the beach is gone
Wait til you see them all in court
Laughing like Satan's spawn.
The worst is yet to come and babe, won't it be bad
The worst is yet to come 'cause we've all been had.
Yes we've all been had
No little birds are going to fly
It hit me right in the 'nads
So sing BP a lullaby
When will they cap the pipe on this mother polluter?
We need some help, I think we should call Roto Rooter
Don't hold your breath, our goose is cooked
Can't eat the shrimp or clams
It's gettin' worse, each time I look
They never had a plan!
The worst is yet to come and babe, won't it be bad
The worst is yet to come 'cause we've all been had.
Yes we've all been had
Man, it's the end of the world out there
I can't swim in that goo
What about my hotel reservation in Pensacola?
How do you spell apocalypse?
Nothing symbolizes evil more than middle aged corporate elite white men raising their hands and swearing to speak the truth, when we all know that they will twist and turn and lie about everything in pathetic attempt to look dignified. From Leehman & Brothers to Enron to pretty much every corporation in the west.
British Petroleum knew exactly what it was doing, they accepted a culture of lax safety for employees and environment. So no tie and suit will make your ugly old faces dignified!

Great job, Billy and Paul. What a nightmare this who thing has turned out to be. Interested in finding out how something like this could happen? Read Economic Apartheid in America. It's sobering.

Great job Billy. To the Romeoderivera, you've been drinking the Fox noise cool-aid. I'm 59 and it probably won't be in my lifetime. Our dependence on oil could change faster than the repair to the Gulf and this could go a lot further.

The recovery of the Gulf of Mexico will be long and painful for the many who depend upon it for their lives. I am deeply saddened by this affront to such a beautiful ecosystem and the loss is felt deep in my soul and heart.

The whole thing is so heartbreaking. No amount of dollars can ever make up for the destruction this has caused.

Nice. I suppose the worst is yet to come regarding our dependence on oil but as far as the situation in the Gulf goes, The oil will eventually take care of itself and the ecosystem will be fine . People will fish and life will go on.
