  • when taking the old fill valve out .. heres a trick I learned the hard way

take it apart enough on the inside ... and grab the nut underneath then turn the fill valve like a bolt... to loosen the nut on the bottom

instead of fighting to get under there ..(like i did for 20 min)

  • Thank you very much for your very detailed "how to" instructions, you saved me time, money & aggrivation. My family thanks you also.

  • we got only about 1/2 the project on this short video ?....?....?

  • do not appreciate the advertisements..... thumbs down

  • @brianjlevine you seriously need someone to show you how to remove a nut????? yeah....blame the "useless video"....moron.

  • I'm so glad theres text all over the video. Why do I need subtitles? Default that crap off. It's blocking the stuff people need to see. Fortunately, the cameraman actually shows the work, instead of over at Ehow where the idiot is filming the guys face and a white wall the whole time...

  • put this all in one video you greedy motherfuckers.

  • I'll be damned. I am so NOT a home improvement person...I just changed the flush valve in less than 10 minutes. Thank you for saving me the house call to a plumber!

  • @brianjlevine You turn the nut counter clock wise to remove and clock wise to place back on. Thats the same with alot of nuts and bolts on a toilet. Except the flush lever which is the opposite. You may or may not need a wrench to install the fill valve. I did need one to remove the old fill valve but not on the replacement fill valve.

  • I just replaced the fill valve on my toilet this week. And the fill valve I replaced had the ballcock and I replaced it with a hydroclean Water saving fill valve and the one I bought also has a float cup built into it. And the hydroclean also has a tube rigged from the bottom across the tank so the hose fills up also. It does sound different when flushing but I like it.

  • Hey, how about showing us how to remove the nut? I cannot get mine to budge and am not sure which way it should turn. Just another useless video.
