@MHSTenors the difficulty of their music is probably about 90% the entire chart, instead of 100 to 0 to 100 again. Trust me, judges would rather see perfectly executed 8th note rolls that fit musically, regardless of comparative difficulty.

Yes, Phantom may not play the hardest books. Yes, they may not play the most notes. But DCI isn't about who can play the hardest books and the most notes, or even who can be the flashiest line. Phantom has some of the best drum book writers who know how to put together each section of the line to make it perfect. Phantom's books every year are freakin' tight! On top of that they're playing consistent! That's all you need to win that drum trophy every year.
