2006 National History Day project on the theme "Taking Stands." The girls who produced this video were 13 year old eighth graders and therefore were attracted to the stand for free speech rights taken by eighth grader Mary Beth Tinker.

  • The pic of me & my parents was at a school board meeting, not the U.S. Supreme Court, from the 1st kid in America suspended for wearing a black armband on 12-16-65, and I did not take mine off when requested to do so by school officials.-Christopher Eckhardt r25288@yahoo.com
