Here is the finish to the 1993 Slick 50 500 at Phoenix International Raceway.

#6 Mark Martin tries to hold off #28 Ernie Irvan for his 5th win of 1993, while Irvan is trying to take the #28 Texaco Havoline Ford to its 3rd straight win at Phoenix (Davey won the race in 1991 and 1992).

Sorry there is no post race coverage as the tape ends less then a second after the clip ends.

Thanks to Dale Earnhardt's 4th place finish and Rusty Wallace's 19th, Earnhardt only needs a 34th place the next week at Atlanta to clinch the 1993 Winston Cup Championship, I think we all know what happened there.

  • I've got the Atlanta weekend coming up in two weeks. :)

  • Was Mark only on 7 cylinders?

  • God I miss seeing that Valvoline number 6 ford going to victory lane... Hell I miss seeing it on the track. I started watching Nascar in 1990 and Mark was my guy. Can't wait till 09.

  • Amen brother...amen.
