I love when my hubby and son get a deer, and ducks, and pheasant, and grouse! Deer is the leanest meat you can eat. I love to cook wild game.

@tmsods if you're talking about the fur, then use a knife to scrape off any meat or membrane, AKA blood and guts, and then give it a washing in cold salt water with a teaspoon or so of soap/shampoo. when you get it out scape any leftovers off, leaving only skin and fur, then hang it at an angle and put some tanning oil or salt on, salt if it's a greasy hide. after it's dried wash it off and shampoo it again and it's ready to be worn, or used as a rug.
