  • @hrhpaul We add absolutely nothing else to our cider - it's just pure fermented apple juice with maybe the odd pear chucked in for good measure. The cider is fermented with natural yeast which is found on the apples themselves. All we do is extract the juice, put it all in those fermentation bins, pop an airlock into the top and let nature take its course. We usually bottle up the cider in 6 months time after making.

  • @GlennLane1 It's a weed shredder which really pulverises the apple to make juice extraction easy and more efficient. You can pick up a second hand weed shredder for around £10.00 but make sure it is a fast rotation type otherwise it will take ages to process.

  • Looks like a wood chipper being used?

  • Your juice seems to come out quite clear... do you add anything or just let natural fermentation take place.?
