Oh yeah those things seemed so impractical that I never paid much attention to them at surplus stores, maybe I'll checkem out next time I see them..but I try to get away from having to carry any insulation?

I know what a sleepingbag liner is..his suggestion that it was a better made me think it was something more cause a "poncho and a liner" are not original ideas, and not as good as this new poncho shelter idea.

Have you thought of a "light body armor?one that is lose fitting keeps the elaments out and can controle the temperature "somewhat" one that would protect from "blunt force trama"and light sharp objects."knives"mabey even a controled ventalation for "smokeie days"aka mace,batons and rubber bulets?I'm shure the shelter,comferts could lighten ones pacck. Emincely.makeing no need to set uo a camp,just lean up against a tree.incorperate a water system and "tha battery" and youv got something .

All things being as they are I think one liner if the price is rite would do wonders atached to the outer poncho to. Asure a perfect spaceing of the outer layer.though the more one adds,the more a good sleeping bag and bivi sack makes more sence.I think the system is idel,down to earth .and ill be trying it.thank you 123.

I think he's talking about a poncho liner:I.E the us mil.isues a poncho with a quilted nylon light weight liner with it.I think its a supurb idea to have the three poncho shelter with the ponchosliners atached to them aditionaly...eccapt.the liners are a bit bulky concidering the space saved with the three poncho concept.side pointon the poncho liners there nit water proof and tear easly in long term use.as well the prices cery one buy a realy warm polcho liner they make them ,there simply expen
