Jack Conte - Like A Match (covered by Nabeel)

This is without a doubt one of my favorite Jack Conte songs and I just had to cover it. It's completely a different style, but hopefully I did the song justice.

Jack Conte is the creator of a new medium called the Videosong.

This is a Videosong. There are two rules to a Videosong:
1. What you see is what you hear (no lip-syncing for instruments or voice).
2. If you hear it, at some point you see it (no hidden sounds).

Yeah I think I prefer your version of this compared to Jack's. I thought it was impossible :D For this song Jack makes things a bit too busy, the stripped down arrangement you've put together just flows so much better. Excellent job man!

Damn...thanks Jonny, and to those who are thumbing you up! Like A Match is maybe my FAVORITE song of his (well, top 3). I'm SO glad you think I didn't ruin it. :)

It's pretty different cause I had no choice but to "strip it down". It's Jack's extra bit of audio/video...flavoring that makes it look and sound so awesome. His style is incredible and there's no way I can come close to it. So I gotta just do my own thing and hope he likes it. Later bro!

I think this is ok. Jack's music is much more polished and produced. Not to say this is bad or anything. But I do prefer Jack's.

I have to say, this is probably one of my least favorite Jack Conte songs. I love all his work, except for maybe 3 of everything he's done, and this is one of them.

I really like this version better, actually. So, at least in my opinion, way to surpass the original.

Don't hate me for saying I don't like the original song, please!! X(

really nice bass-playing ;) I dont think there is a really suitible way to compare this to the original. at least because the voice, with is a range fuller than jacks (so theres not this hard psychodelic-effect) next is the instrumental interpretation... different and nice done!
